I love these wildflower meadows with their riotous colour and all their energy. It gives me great joy to hear the insects buzzing and to see the birds seeking food and nesting material, bees gathering nectar and ferrying it back to their nest, small animals scurrying through the grass. If you could offer me a visit to the finest man-made garden in all the world, for a week even, or an hour spent in a wild meadow, I would choose the latter.
