Creo que está mariposa es Lycaena phlaeas, de la familia Lycaenidae. Vive en toda la región paleártica y en una zona de Norteamérica. Prefiere las zonas secas y ricas en flores en paisajes abiertos o bien en llanuras con árboles, alcanzando en la montaña los 2000 m de altitud. Esta mariposa forma toda una serie de subespecies.

These are very enviable pictures of butterflies Teresa. I think that your 2nd and 7th images are of Lampides boeticus - very rare in UK! I also think that you have probably got a 3rd species in that mix too, but I can't identify it from your photos.

We should all appreciate this wonderful creature, Teresa, and convert our manicured lawns and gardens into habitat for butterflies, which will simultaneously renew habitat for other creatures. If only more people would realize that they can create a miniature ecosystem in their own back yard and restore a little of what we have destroyed. More and more butterflies (and other insects) are in danger of disappearing, and we need to do everything possible to safeguard what remains and help them to survive. Selfishly, in doing so, we will help ourselves. Instead of Christmas we should have Global Renewal Day. Muchos abrazos y besos - David
